Academic Technology and Instructional Services

“One Stop Shop”

Greetings;

Academic Technology and Instructional Services (ATIS) was created by transforming the Department of Distance Education (DDE) in Extended University Programs and expanding on the services previously offered through that department.

Our mission is to be the “one stop shop” for academic technology and instructional services. Faculty and staff now have one number to call, 387-ATIS (2847) for assistance with technology, eLearning, audio/video media services, and faculty development; we are here to help find solutions.

ATIS has an instructional design team to assist faculty members with preparing course materials and teaching strategies for eLearning modality. The instructional design team anticipates providing training and workshops to introduce faculty members to issues involved in teaching via eLearning technologies, as well as to assist with converting face-to-face courses to technology enhanced, web-enhanced or fully online delivery methods.

Please contact ATIS regarding departmental or individual faculty member ideas regarding classroom technology, technology enhancing of courses or extending educational opportunities via eLearning modalities. We will be happy to work with you in providing technology enhanced or eLearning courses and programs.
