This laptop replacement project is a cooperative effort among the offices of the Provost and Vice President for Academic affairs and the Office of Information Technology (OIT), and with Craig Kaml, Director of Academic Technology and Instructional Services (ATIS), serving as the project lead.
The purpose of this project is to provide faculty with laptop computers to address their mobile computing needs, allowing them to utilize classroom technology capabilities available in the technology enhanced classrooms that are being upgraded through the previously announced three year classroom instructional technology upgrade project.
Computers for all tenure-track and tenured faculty may be replaced with new laptops after March 13, 2006. Older faculty laptops purchased prior to July 2004 and faculty desktop computers (regardless of purchase date) may be included in this replacement and exchange program.
